Julianna: I need to go to the bathroom.
Me: Julianna, you don't need to tell me that. You may ask to be excused, but I don't need to hear every time you need to go. Especially at night. You don't ever need to tell me in the middle of the night that you are going to the bathroom--just go.
Julianna: But what if I'm scared?
Me: Then you can tell me that.
Tom: Or, you don't even need to tell her. You can just come in our room and give Mommy a hug and then go back to bed. Sometimes, when I get scared, that's what I do. I just wake up, roll over, snuggle for a minute and then go back to sleep. I don't even wake her up!
Drew: So, like, what would happen if you just jumped in bed and gave Mom like a TWO HOUR SNUGGLE?!
Tom: Well.....
