what made me laugh today

This morning I made Lily's lunch, including a ham sandwich, and asked her to pack it into her lunchbox. She was not thrilled with my sandwich selection and told me that she wanted a mashed banana sandwich. When I got to the kitchen to check on her progress she had two pieces of bread, a banana, and no ham. I gave into the request and let her mash a banana for her sandwich. (Gross!) I asked her what she had done with the ham. "Back in the fridge!" she screamed on her way to the car.

Later this afternoon when I opened the fridge to make my lunch I found two slices of deli ham sitting alone on the middle shelf.  It struck me as funny.

Remember when I told you about Lily's sock with the hole in it? She made it into a glove for her hand by cutting the end off. Ever since she did this Drew has been jealous of her glove. Tonight Drew convinced Tom to cut all of the fingers off of a pair of gloves. Drew then put on the gloves, removed his shirt, put on a cape and asked us to call him "Hot Man."

At dinner tonight Julianna told Tom that when she is five she is going to catch a big fish. A catfish. I asked her about it and she exclaimed excitedly, "Yeah! I'm going to catch one with my blue "pishing fole" I mean, pah-ishing ffffole." She laughed and we said together, You mean 'fishing pole'? Julianna loves to laugh and loves to make other people laugh even more. I hope she keeps her ability to laugh at herself.
