Sure, you're right, this sounds like bragging, and maybe it is. However, for me, it's just a post to remember Julianna at 2 1/2 years old...and growing up fast.
I love being her mom. I love her snuggles and her mispronounced words. I love her crazy, curly hair and her long spindly legs. I love the adoration she has for her dad and her undying need to be babied.
I know it's my job to teach her the lessons of growing up. I know that it's my job to ready her for the big, bad world. But, for right now, I'd just like to express just how amazing she is, just the way she is - living in her safe bubble of love. She doesn't know hardships or loss. She loves herself, her family and her life unabashedly.
Can't I just get a freeze frame? Can't I just keep her this way for just a bit longer? If her sister and brother have taught me anything, it's that life is quick and our babies are only our babies for a blink of an eye.
