Disney Day Four: Epcot, Part 2

I had to drag myself to the blog today. What started as a great day, sun shining, children happy and morning organized...went downhill fast after lunch. Let's just start at the beginning.

We were at the park at 9 am and went on a boat ride called The Land. It was an informative boat ride talking about our environment and living off the land. The kids seemed to like it well enough. After that we went to the Character Spot and met Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy all in one swoop. The kids were pretty excited about it. It was fun to meet them all. After that was lunch and then a sort of long line and wait in the sunshine to meet Tinkerbell. Looking back, I remember now that I sort of had to prod Lily to get her out of the stroller to meet Tink (one of her favorite characters of all time). After the meet and greet we sort of wandered around...even though our children were giving us all the signs that it was time to go home and rest.

Finally, after about 45 minutes of looking for something specific to do, we left and headed back for naps. Drew fell asleep within minutes of arriving back at the hotel. Julianna was a dirty diaper and about 20 minutes behind him. And then Lily...who said she had a headache....fell asleep. Which is totally insane for her. She crashed out for nearly two hours. I had to really encourage her to get up so we could go get dinner. I had to promise that she would do no walking and could lay in the stroller the whole time. And even then she didn't really want to come.

On the way to dinner she seemed to perk up. I thought maybe she was just tired and needed sleep. She ate a sucker and carried on a conversation with me. Then, when we got to the park, she crawled in the stroller and never moved again. I managed to get her to drink some water and take five bites of a pb&j.

Meanwhile, Drew had a bite or two of a soft pretzel, half of a pb&j and a frozen lemonade that he sucked down. He kept telling us that his tummy hurt off and on during that time. He went and used the restroom, but still was having tummy troubles.

After we got our dinner (Tom and I got ours to go) Tom insisted that I use the ticket we'd gotten earlier in the day to ride the ride he and Lily had ridden the first day, Sorin'. He convinced me that we wouldn't get another chance and it would only take a short bit, to just go. So I went. And while I was gone Lily never moved and Drew puked three times.

Right now they are all in bed sleeping. I am pretty sure that Lily had a pretty high fever (thankfully I packed Tylenol), I am feeling terrible that Lily feels terrible. We saved the Magic Kingdom day for tomorrow and the next day. There is so much of this trip that centers around Lily, since she is the oldest and can do so much. I am just so sad that she is not feeling well. I am still trying to hold out hope that she will wake up refreshed and feeling great in the morning. If not, I'm not sure what's going to happen. She and I will either stay home and rest for at least the morning or she will spend the day crashed out in the stroller. Either way, not ideal. Oh, and as for Drew puking, I'm going to say it's just because we've been eating nothing but crap. And he chugged that frozen lemonade. Too much crap and sugar for a tummy that is used to fruits and veggies is not a good combo. He was feeling fine when he went to bed.

I hope that tomorrow's post will be all about the amazing time we had at the Magic Kingdom.
