Yesterday David and Niki stopped by to say hi. They surprised me with my very own large root beer from Sonic. I was sipping it slowly during their visit - you can't rush these things. I stowed it on the floor beside my chair when I wasn't drinking. When they left I got up to make dinner...not thinking of the giant root beer within a child's reach.
Drew remembered.
He finished the whole thing.
Huh. How do you discipline this?
YOU CAN"T HAVE ANYTHING TO DRINK FOR THE REST OF THE DAY!
YOU ARE IN TIME OUT FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK!
I did neither of these things...but I wanted to.
Today Lily wore Julianna's Cinderella sunglasses to school. When we went to pick her up, Mrs. Law told me that Lily said that she'd gotten those sunglasses at Disney World and worn them there. Uhhhh, I said. Those are Julianna's sunglasses that she got for her birthday. None of the story is the truth, I said. I recommended that Mrs. Law only believe 14% of what Lily says as the full truth. Then I reminded her that Lily had once nearly convinced her veteran teacher that her first name was really Hannah.
