Today is Father's Day and I thought I would dedicate this post to Tom. He's a great dad and we appreciate all that he does for us. I was a single mom when Tom and I started dating and shortly there after got married. Lily was 8 months old and I'm sure it was quite a shock for Tom going from living on the road to having a wife and baby all in one swoop. He never missed a beat though. He was Daddy from the start. He was up in the night with Lily and even sometimes changed poopy diapers (probably more than he does now! :))
Tom has always been nothing but supportive of my desire to stay home with the kids. He has always made me feel like my job was as important, or more important than his. I have always felt like Tom and I were members of the same team and equal partners in parenting. Tom works very hard at his job and many long hours, but when he is home he is always asking which child he can take with him to do weekend chores, or he's building me a patio in our backyard, or getting me caught up on laundry. I guess what I'm trying to say is: Tom you're a pretty amazing dad and we love you!
